Honestly speaking, there's gradually a lack of what should I write haha, probably for I lead a monotonous life. Butanyway, I always have material to compose. Last week, I had three days off due to Qingming Festival. Me and my roommates had booked tickets online to Qiqihar, a city near my school. It's so close a place that we only took half an hour to get there. Arriving there, we went to a restaurant to have a square meal: barbecue. With its fame gaining, a lot of people specially come here to enjoy it. And we did see a great many diners in the restaurant, where we almost got no seats. But fortunately, It was not long before our order was served. We were sitting around a table, barbecuing slices of fresh beef and mutton accompanied with onions and pickled cabbage. A moment later, we were greeted by a pleasant smell mixed with meat and pickle. It tasted so good! I'm not gonna lie, we felt like we were in heaven. And if you wanna go eat it, dont forget to order a plate of lettuce since itcould be greasy in the wake of eating a lot. After eating, we spent hours playing games in the intemet bar, which was back-breaking but cheerful. "For us boys, when we visit a city, going to the intemet bar is a must." my roommates joked. Indeed, it's true haha. Differing with girls, we rarely go sightseeing, go window shopping or take nice pics everywhere when we go outside. Coming out of the bar, we were just wandering aimlessly around the city until we got hungry. At first, we all decided to eat something at roadside stands, but somehow we eventually abandoned the idea haha. Anyway, in the end, we chose McDonalds as our dinner. Then we went to the bath center, which offers a variety of services, including saunas, massage, bathing and cupping. To be frank, I had considered itas a noisy and chaotic place, but it turned out I had a great experience there. It was really cozy to take a hot spring bath, making you fully relax. Plus, we took a sauna while happily playing cards, even though it's really hot in the sauna. At last we experienced a cupping, which was originally painful but ended up being fantastic. After waking up next moring, we bought retum tickets, setting off back to school. It, of course, was a wonderful one-day trip.Occasionally, after my hoeing was done for the day, I joined some impatient companion who had been fishing on the pond since morning, as silent and motionless as a duck or a floating leaf, and, after practising various kinds of philosophy, had concluded commonly, by the time l arrived, that he belonged to the ancient sect of Coenobites. There was one older man, an excellent fisher and skilled in all kinds of woodcraft, who was pleased to look upon my house as a building erected for the convenience of fishermen; and I was equally pleased when he sat in my doorway to ar- range his lines. Once in a while we sat together on the pond, he at one end of the boat, and l at the other; but not many words passed between us, for he had grown deaf in his later years, but he occasionally hummed a psalm, which harmonized well enough with my philosophy. Our intercourse was thus altogether one of unbroken harmony, far more pleasing to remember than if it had been carried on by speech. When, as was commonly the case, l had none to commune with, I used to raise the echoes by striking with a paddle on the side of my boat, filling the surrounding woods with circling and dilating sound, stirring them up as the keeper of a menagerie his wild beasts, until I elicited a growl from every wooded vale and hillside.
