I once met a man when traveling the coast

he asked me what wonders I have been told

I replied, with my youth, I’ve learned none

So he gave me some wisdom for the road:

life’s a one-way hike

to heaven and here and all the lands between

enjoy the ride,

its a one of a kind,

the kind that rips you from the seams

Battlefields of glory and gore

live today to see some more

For you mortals only live to marvel

Life’s wonders, bitter and awe.
