角色介绍：

Marianne: 学霸，孤僻、敏感没有朋友。聪明，学习成绩好。早年丧父，母亲重男轻女，哥哥对她不友善。

Connell: 学霸，外向，人缘好。众星捧月受人欢迎。

Lorraine： Connell的母亲，在Marianne做Cleaner，有原声音效。

【原声音效Marianne: Hey.- Connell: Hey. Marianne: Come on in. Your mom's in the kitchen. 23'关门声】

Lorraine: Hey love, Marianne was telling me you got your mock results back today.

Connell: Uh, just English. They come back separately. 

Lorraine: I heard you did very well.

Marianne: （低头吃东西中）He did.

Connell: Yeah, well. Marianne did pretty good, too.

Marianne抬头看了Connell一眼。

Connell: （to Mom）Can we go? 

Lorraine: Didn't realize we were in a rush. Just put these away, and then we'll be off. Immediately, okay? 

Connell: Mm.

Marianne: （吃东西）Do you want some?

Connell: N-no...thanks.

Marianne: Didn't you get French back today?

Connell: Yesterday... Got an A1. What'd you get in German?

Marianne: Are you bragging? （停顿）Got an A1.

Connell: Ah, you're gonna get 600, are ya?

Marianne: You probably will.

Connell: Yeah, well, you're smart than me, so...

Marianne: Smart than everyone.

Connell: Ah, well, but you're not the top of the class in English.

Marianne: （停顿）Maybe you should give me grinds, Connell.

Connell:（有点腼腆地一笑）

Lorraine: Good to go?

Connell: Yeah. Oy.

母子二人朝外走。

Marianne: Thanks for everything, Lorraine.

Lorraine: Tell your mom I'll clean upstairs tomorrow.

Marianne哥哥在下雨天半途中去接朋友，Marianne淋湿上课迟到，怼老师，被留堂。

【2:22脚步声起，停入】

Connell: （看到Marianne靠在一柱子上）Hey, you're not hedding home, no?

Marianne: I did actually get a detention.

Connell: Sorry.

Marianne: Technically, I requested it.

Connell: You were fairly harsh on Kerrigan the other day, as well. He's actually pretty decent. I don't know why you had to have such a go at him.

Marianne: I object to every thought or action, or feeling of mine being policed like we're all in some authorilarian fantasy.

Connell: Well, it's not that, though, is it? It's just school. It's same for everybody. It's not unique for you.

Marianne: You try to act like we're friends, 【3:05走向对面的柱子】but you know you're not that kind of person.

Connell: 【3:15脚步声，逐渐走近停下】I'm not acting.

Marianne: Why are you talking to me then?

Connell: Yeah.

Marianne: （停几秒）What was Ms. Neary tallking to you about after class? 

Connell: Oh, don't know, uh...getting out of class early for training or something.

Marianne: She must find training highly amusing then.

Connell: Well.

Marianne: Did she fancy you or something?

Connell: （停几秒）Why did you say that?

Marianne: God, you're not having an affair with her, are you?

Connell: Please. You think it's funny joking about stuff like that, do you?

Marianne: （看着Connell，顿了一下，低头，摇头）Sorry.

Connell: People going at me like I fancy her. I...I don't fancy her.

Marianne: Well... maybe it's because you... blush a lot when she talks to you. But you know, you blush at everything.

Connell: Thanks.

Marianne: Guess you have one of those complexions.

Connell: Great.

Marianne: You're blushing right now, actually.

Connell: Yeah. I'm aware.

Marianne: （停顿，摇摇头）Sorry. I don't wanna get a fight with you or anything.

Connell: We're not fighting.

Marianne: I know you... probably hate me. But you're the only person who actually talks to me.

Connell: I never said that I hated you.

Marianne: Well...I like you.

Connell: （沉默几秒，看到队员）Got to head trainning, so, uh...（转身欲离开）

Marianne: Good luck at the match tomorrow.

Connell: Thanks.【4:25脚步声离开】

Marianne去看Connell的比赛，Connell赢了后回校路上和Marianne坐在了一起。

Marianne家中，Connell来接即将下班的母亲。【4:47脚步声】

Connell拿起书架上一本书翻了几页。【4:56翻书声完入】

Marianne: （远处）You played well today.

Connell: Thanks, that's nice of you.

Marianne: I can be nice.

Connell: I know you can. （两人沉默一小会）You know... the way you are in school... I don't think you're like that, really.

Marianne: （停顿）What am I like, really?

Connell: （沉默）

【5：13Marianne走近Connell】

Marianne: You can borrow it, if you like.

Connell: Well, I actually read it already. I don't know why I picked it up.

Marianne: Any good?

Connell: Yeah. I liked it. You, you'd like it, actually. It's got a lot about feminism, and all that.

Marianne: Do your friends know you read so much?

Connell: Yeah, they wouldn't really be interested in all that stuff.

Marianne: You mean they're not interested in the world around them?

Connell: Eh, not in the same way that we would be, but...they have their own interests, I suppose.

Marianne: Right. Like, uh, bragging about who they're having sex with.

Connell: Yeah. They can do a bit of that. I‘m, I'm not defending it. 

Marianne: Doesn't it bother you?

Connell: Most of it wouldn't. And then they do some stuff that's a bit over the line, and that would bother me, obviously, but... they're are my friends at the end of the days. It's different from you.

Marianne: Why is it different?

Connell: （停顿）You know, um... You were saying the other day that you like me...by...by the photocopier, you said it. 

Marianne: Yeah.

Connell: Yeah. Did you mean "like" as... a friend, or what?

Marianne: （沉默几秒，抬头看Connell）No. Not just as a friend.

Connell: Yeah. I thought that might be implied. I just... wasn't sure. （沉默几秒，轻咳一下）See, I'm...just a little confused about what I feel... I think... Uh, it'd be awkward in school if something happened with us.

Marianne: （沉默几秒，看着Connell，然后靠得更近一点【7:05脚步声】）No one would have to know. （沉默几秒，两人Kiss，几秒后，二人分开）That was nice. （笑）

Connell: （带点笑）What, what are you laughing for?

Marianne: （笑）Nothing.

Connell: Well, you're acting like you've never been kissed before.

Marianne: （笑）I haven't.

两人均笑。Connell母亲在远处叫了一声Connell【7:21】

Connell: (to Marianne) Don't tell anybody in school about this, all right?

Marianne: Like I talk to anyone at school.

Connell和母亲离开。
