Voice-over 1：This is Gotham City, located in New Jersey, known as the most chaotic and crime harvesting city in the world. Here, theft, robbery, shooting, and even terrorism are seen everywhere. Young Selina Kyle is also a part of these. She kept her basic survival based on stealing, while the surplus was used to maintain the very rare conscience in this rotten city. 

[00:43 滑下声，街道嘈杂声，凯尔出刀滑破纸袋，大量东西掉落后]

Voice-over 2： She only took a bottle of milk. Soon, she started targeting another man's bulging pocket. 

Middle aged man：What? I think she... got my wallet. (loud) Hey, stop! Stop her! 

Voice-over 1：The poor man shouted as he chased her. Kyle climbed up the folding ladder on the nearby shop to get to the other side of the alley. She jumped down carefully, looked around and took the remaining few dollars from the wallet before she threw the empty wallet away. She then took out the milk hidden in her arms and poured into a meal box found in the trash bin. It was a gift for the little stray cat in this alley. Suddenly, a woman's laughter rose behind her. Quickly, she hid herself in the shadows. 

[1:47 猫叫声，女人笑声后]

Martha Wayne：(relaxed) Oh, come on, Tom. It wasn't that bad. 

Thomas Wayne：(relaxed) Oh, no? Childish drivel.

Martha Wayne：The acting was fine, the music was lovely. What about you, Bruce? 

Bruce Wayne：(chuckle) Sorry, Mom, I agree with Dad. It was kinda lame. 

Thomas Wayne："Kinda lame"? There's no such word as "kinda". It was totally lame. 

Bruce Wayne：Yeah~

Martha Wayne：You two, so judgment... 

Robber：What's up, folks? (draw a gun)

Thomas Wayne：(soft) Stay calm , Bruce.

Robber：Give me your money!

Thomas Wayne：No problem. We're cooperating. 

Robber：The necklace. 

Thomas Wayne：(soft) It's okay. 

[02:29 项链断裂，珍珠散落一地后]

Martha Wayne：(whisper) Easy.

[02:34 第一声枪声后]

Voice-over 2：The robber shot Thomas dead. Kyle trembled against the sudden gunfire. The robber then shot Martha. Before young Bruce could recover from such trauma, the robber had his gun pointed towards his head. Young Bruce shook with fear, and his brain went blank at the nearing death. However, the robber lowered his pistol, burst him aside and then fled. Kyle watched poor Bruce breaking down in despair. She did nothing, for she knew deeply in her heart that in this rotten city, the nosey parkers die early.

James Gordon：( 语速中 ) (loud) Hold your fire! Hold your fire. I got this. (soft) Hold your fire. Hold... Easy, easy. Sir, look at me. Not at them, look at me. My name's Jim. Jim Gordon. What's yours?

Junkie：(Struggling) I need my pills.

James Gordon：( 语速慢 ) Okay, well, everything's gonna be all right. Look at me. Got your pills right here. ( 4:32 摇晃药瓶声 ) Want some pills? Here you go, here you go, here's some pills for you, all right?

Junkie：(chew) These aren't my pills.

[4:46 打斗声同]

Voice-over 1：Gordon slammed the junkie's jaw, knocked him down and popped the bullet out of the pistol. 

James Gordon：(to others) Sorry, guys. Didn't mean to bark at you all like that. Got a little bit carried away. 

[Get up!]

[Hey, hey, come on, man, take it easy! Come on, guys!]

Harvey Bullock：What the hell are you doing? We had the drop on him.

James Gordon：Yeah, well, he's dropped, isn't he?

Harvey Bullock：You could've gotten hurt. Rookie mistake. Next time, shoot the son of a bitch.

James Gordon：If I shoot, that sets everybody off. Gunfire every which way.

Harvey Bullock：Somebody takes a cop's gun, you shoot him. That's basic.

Policeman：Yo, Bullock, Gordon, you're up! Double homicide, Theater District.

Harvey Bullock：Give me a break, shift's nearly over.

Policeman：Yeah, nearly.

[5:39 转场]

[警笛声明显变小后]

Tannen Baum：Oh, the legendary Harvey Bullock. No rest for the wicked , eh?

Harvey Bullock：Tannen Baum, looking crisp. This is my new partner, James Gordon. What do we got?

Tannen Baum：Just got here myself. Male, female, gunshot. Their kid saw the whole thing. Poor bastard hasn't spoke a word yet.

Voice-over 2：Gordon walked off toward young Bruce, curled up in the corner. 

James Gordon：(to Bruce Wayne,soft) My name's James Gordon. I'm a detective. What's your name?... (wait for 2 or 3 seconds) It's okay. You don't have to talk.

Harvey Bullock：(whisper) Listen, T., do me a favor. You didn't see me, okay? 

Tannen Baum：I see you right in front of me. What's your problem?

Harvey Bullock：That's Thomas and Martha Wayne. I don't need that kind of hassle. Call Major Crimes, they'd love to have this.

Tannen Baum：Yeah, but they're not here. And your partner is talking to the witness. So... that makes it your case.

Bruce Wayne：(tremble) Bruce. My-my name is Bruce Wayne.

James Gordon：( 语速中 ) Can you tell me what happened, Bruce? ( 哭泣声，布鲁斯CV自配 ) When I was about your age, a drunk driver hit our car. Killed my dad. I was right next to him. (whisper) I know how you feel right now. (persuasive) And I promise you, however dark and scary the world might be right now,  there will be light. There will be light, Bruce.

Bruce Wayne：(sob) We just got out of the movies. We were walking through the alley to catch an uptown cab, and... a man came out of the shadows. He-he was tall with a black mask and... he had a hat and gloves... and shiny shoes. He took my dad's wallet and my mom's necklace. And then he shot them for no reason. I should've done something! But I was too scared.

James Gordon：( 语速慢 ) There was nothing you could've done to stop what happened. But there is something you can do now. You can be strong. Be strong. I promise you, I will find the man who did this.

Tannen Baum：Who the hell is that? 

[08:56 脚步声两段后]

James Gordon：James Gordon.

Alfred Pennyworth：Alfred Pennyworth.

James Gordon：We're gonna get the guy that did this, sir.

Alfred Pennyworth：New boy, are ya?

James Gordon：You could say.

Alfred Pennyworth：Good luck, mate .(to Bruce)Come on. Don't look. Head up, eyes front. Don't let them see you crying.

James Gordon：Shouldn't we be there when they move the victims? 

Harvey Bullock：Why? Listen, hot shot, do me a favor. Don't start talking to witnesses until I say so.

James Gordon：What's your problem?

Harvey Bullock：My problem, soldier boy, you just caught us a gigantic, flaming ball of crap.

James Gordon：Oh, yeah, how's that?

Harvey Bullock：You never heard of Thomas and Martha Wayne? 

James Gordon：Yeah, sure, the Wayne Foundation .

Harvey Bullock：Yeah. Two of the richest and most powerful people in Gotham. You can't begin to imagine the pressure, we don't close this thing quick. 

James Gordon：So let's close it quick.

Harvey Bullock：(ironical) Yeah, right. This is random street robbery, Holmes. Perp could be any one of 10,000 mopes out there. Oh, crap. 

[00:52 Order up!]

Harvey Bullock：If it isn't Montoya and Allen. Major Crimes Unit. This is my new partner, Jim Gordon. 

James Gordon：Nice to meet you.

Crispus Allen：Hi, Harvey. 

Renee Montoya：You're on the Waynes, huh? Terrible thing. Any leads?

Harvey Bullock：Just getting started.

Crispus Allen：I'll be straight. You want us to take it off your hands?

James Gordon：(fast) No, no, no, no, no, this is our...

Harvey Bullock：(interrupt)Hold on, rook. Why you want it? You got a lead?

Crispus Allen：No. Just need the press action.

Harvey Bullock：I don't know. 

Renee Montoya：Come on, Bullock, you know you're scared of this case.

Harvey Bullock：You're damn right I'm scared. 

Renee Montoya：So then do the right thing for once. 

Harvey Bullock：'"For once"? Where the hell you get the nerve to say that to me? You can kiss my ass.

Crispus Allen：Okay, you be that way, brother. (chuckle) Just trying to be collegial here.

Harvey Bullock：You know, I almost gave it to you, but you couldn't help yourself, could you? You had to go and be disrespectful.

Crispus Allen：(relaxed) Okay, Harvey. Stay frosty. Good luck.

Harvey Bullock：Self-righteous do-gooding skell huggers. Always bad-mouthing us like they're such freaking angels. Please.

[02:07 转场]

[As mayor of this great city, I swear to you,

Captain Essen：Poor bastard. First a crime wave and now this. You take all the people and resources you need. You just close this case. 

Harvey Bullock：Yes, Captain. Jim, will you give us a minute?

James Gordon：Captain. ( 转身离去 )

Captain Essen：( 预判了哈维的话 ) The answer's no.

James Gordon：Yeah, na. Sorry, this is where the action is. You'll get used to me.

Harvey Bullock：Jim, you seem like a nice guy, but this is not a city or a job for nice guys. You understand?

James Gordon：No.

Harvey Bullock：And that's your problem.

James Gordon：You're a cynic. A slovenly, lackadaisical (/ˌlækəˈdeɪzɪkl/) cynic.

Harvey Bullock：(chuckle) You're probably right. Okay, Soldier boy, let's go roust some muggers. ”Lackadaisical”? Huh.

[03:57 一段找茬的音乐]

[04:30 转场]

Edward Nygma：(Smile-filled) Guess what this is?

Harvey Bullock：Just tell me, Ed. I want riddles, I'll read the funny pages.

Edward Nygma：It's a 45 caliber 300-grain cupronickel wadcutter. Came out of Thomas Wayne's chest.

James Gordon：That's a six-dollar bullet.

Edward Nygma：Uh-huh, What kind of gun...

Harvey Bullock：(interrupt)Ahahah! Don't ask, just tell.

Edward Nygma：It's from a pistol not known by our database. And no print, either. 

Harvey Bullock：What else you got?

Edward Nygma：What's nowhere but everywhere, except where something is? 

James Gordon：Nothing.

Harvey Bullock：You need professional help, Nygma, Seriously. Let's go.

James Gordon：So I'm thinking , our man wears shiny shoes, uses high-end ammo, and nobody on the street knows who he is? 

Harvey Bullock：Maybe he's not from the street. Like a debonair playboy robber, does it for kicks?

James Gordon：Who would pretend to be a street robber, huh? A professional contract killer or somebody with a personal grudge against the Waynes.

Harvey Bullock：How did this professional know the Waynes would be coming down that alley?

James Gordon：That's a good question. 

Harvey Bullock：Essen said we don't catch a break in the first 48, it's time to go see Fish Mooney.

James Gordon：Fish Mooney? That works for Carmine Falcone? 

Harvey Bullock：Her. Theater District's her turf. Anything happens down there, she hears about it. 

Voice-over 1：48 hours passed quickly. The toiling two police officers still found nothing. With no alternative, Gordon followed Bullock to Fish Mooney's bar. 

[06:00 过场音乐、雨中两句话、开关门进入穆尼的酒吧后]

Harvey Bullock：Tell Fish I'm here. 

[06: 25酒保放下酒杯]

[外面小巷中，巴掌声后立刻入]

Fish Mooney：I still care for you, deeply, but I don't believe that you still care for me anymore. 

Raoul：(lisping) I c-c-care for you!

Fish Mooney：Then where's my money?

Raoul：(weak) I'll get it, I'll get it, I'll get it.

Voice-over 2：Poor Raul gets another hit. Cobblepot, who was holding an umbrella for Fish Mooney, failed to keep her away from the rain, as he was so obsessed with watching. 

Fish Mooney：( 啧 ) Boy!

Oswald Cobblepot：Sorry. 

Fish Mooney：If you let this hair go frizzy, you will be.

[07:06 抽鼻子声]

[Ma'am, Detective Bullock is here. ]

Fish Mooney：Keep him warm.

Butch Gilzean：Yes, ma'am.

[07:14 轻柔的脚步后]

James Gordon：Detective James Gordon, ma'am.

Fish Mooney：(deep) Well, aren't you a cool glass of milk?

James Gordon：Ma'am, was that screaming we heard back there?

Fish Mooney：Yes, my boys are watching a scary movie.

James Gordon：Really?

Fish Mooney：(disdain) No. Actually, one of my staff has been stealing money from me, so we're beating his punk ass.

Harvey Bullock：Relax, junior. Fish gets some leeway. Her staff are rough characters, need firm handling.

Fish Mooney：(smirk) So, this isn't a social visit then?

Harvey Bullock：Unfortunately not. Brass sent me by to talk to you about the Wayne murders.

Fish Mooney：Terrible thing. 

[08:29 后方又传来一声惨叫]

Harvey Bullock：Listen, junior, if you're worried, why don't you go back there and see if anyone wants to press charges? If that's okay with you, Fish.

Fish Mooney：Oh, I don't mind at all, Harvey. Mi casa es su casa. ( 西班牙语，请自便 )

[08:47 脚步声，击打声，惨叫声后]

Butch Gilzean：Oswald, whoa.

Thug：Yeah, take it easy, Penguin.

Oswald Cobblepot：(tough) You know I don't like to be called that.

James Gordon：How's everybody doing?

Thug：Who are you?

James Gordon：James Gordon, GCPD. 

Butch Gilzean：You came with Harvey, huh? Glad to know you, James. I'm Butch Gilzean.

James Gordon：Drop the bat.

[09:20 球棒掉落同]

Butch Gilzean：Come on now. Oswald and Raoul here were just having a little fun, weren't you, boys?

Oswald Cobblepot：All in fun.

Raoul：(struggle) No problem. Fun.

Butch Gilzean：You a new guy, huh? How do you like Gotham so far?

James Gordon：Well enough... See you around.

Voice-over 1：Gordon shook his head and returned to the bar. After he left, Raoul was shoved to the ground again. 

[09:44 笑声后]

Harvey Bullock：Everything all right back there?

Fish Mooney：It's always good to see you, Harvey.

Voice-over 2：Gordon stared at Mooney for a moment, and she looked back at him with amusement. Gordon turned around and stormed off. He returned home, and found his fiancée Barbara, already dressed and waiting for him to head to a banquet. 

[10:18 转场]

[James Gordon：Wow]

Barbara Kean：And look at you in your excellent suit. You know, I'm so happy you don't have to wear that silly uniform anymore. 

James Gordon：You told me it looked good. 

Barbara Kean：(whisper) I lied. (kiss) (loud) You ready to rock and roll?

James Gordon：(tired) Ah... Barbara, I'm beat. Do we really have to go to this thing?

Barbara Kean：No. Of course not.

James Gordon：Thank you.

Barbara Kean：You owe me. (kiss)

[10:55 脱衣服、叹气声后]

Barbara Kean：So... talk to me.

James Gordon：(sit down) We're getting nowhere on the Wayne case. I made a promise to Bruce Wayne and I can't deliver.

Barbara Kean：But you will.

James Gordon：I don't know. Maybe I'm out of my depth.

Barbara Kean：I very much doubt you're out of your depth, but even if you are, you know how to swim, don't you?

James Gordon：(soft) Yes, I do.

Barbara Kean：So swim.

James Gordon：I'll swim, you're right. 

Barbara Kean：You hungry?

James Gordon：I'm all right. Had a few dogs.

Barbara Kean：(smile) When I am Mrs. Gordon, and you are living here all the time, I am gonna put you on a proper, healthy diet.

[事后，凌晨]

[12:02 接起电话后]

Harvey Bullock：( 电话音 ) I got a lead. Meet me at Fourth and Grundy in an hour.

James Gordon：On my way.

Voice-over 1：Gordon took one more glance at Barbara Kean, who was in her deep sleep, before heading off to Bullock in the early morning. In front of the street bar, he found the tipsy Bullock downstairs. 

[12:26 Harvey Bullock：Hey]

James Gordon：You all right?

Harvey Bullock：Couple drinks, I'll be fine.

James Gordon：Bullock...

Harvey Bullock：Fish Mooney heard from one of her fences, guy tried to sell him an antique four-strand pearl necklace with gold settings, one strand broken. 

James Gordon：Like Martha Wayne was wearing.

Harvey Bullock：Guy's name is Mario Pepper.

[12:48 转场]

Harvey Bullock：Career street thug. Long sheet: robbery, assault, rape, extortion, drug dealing.

James Gordon：Nice guy.

[12:59 敲门声、开门声后]

James Gordon：Hi... What's your name?

Ivy Pepper：Ivy.

James Gordon：Ivy. Is daddy home?

Ivy Pepper：You don't want to talk to daddy.

James Gordon：Why's that, Ivy? 

Ivy Pepper：... He's mean.

Mario Pepper：Hey, who is it?!

James Gordon：Mario Pepper, we need to talk.

Mario Pepper：(chewing) I've done nothing.

James Gordon：So it'll be a pleasant talk. Where were you last Saturday night around 9:30?

Mario Pepper：I was here at home with my family.

Alice Pepper：That's right. He was here.

Harvey Bullock：Pearl necklace sound familiar ?

Mario Pepper：No.

Harvey Bullock：Then I guess you don't mind we, uh, take a look around the place.

Mario Pepper：You need a warrant.

James Gordon：You're a felon on parole. All we need is reasonable cause.

[掀桌子声，东西碎一地声，女人惊呼声]

[追逐声]

James Gordon：Stop! Stop or I'll shoot!

Voice-over 2：Without warning, Pepper leaped out of the window and raced along the roof side in pre-planned escape. Gordon went after him closely and Pepper shot back. Gordon used cover to dodge the bullets. They passed through a section of iron stairs before Pepper broke into a factory through the back door. Pepper then dived into the back kitchen of a restaurant downstairs and got hold a kitchen knife. Gordon kept close, but lost Pepper as he got out of the back door. He cautiously carried his pistol forward and sought for Pepper. Suddenly, Pepper leaped out and disarmed him with the knife. He fell into close combat with Pepper who had an upper hand with a knife. Gordon didn't last long as Pepper, two laps bigger than him, threw him to the ground. Just as Pepper was about to thrust his knife into Gordon's chest, a sound of gunfire blasted into Pepper as he fell to the ground. Gordon turned his head and saw Bullock holding a gun, with the words 'You're welcome' all over his face. 

Voice-over 1：Gordon had a doctor dealing with the wound on his hand, while Bullock was busy confronting questions from others. A police officer began examining the evidence taken from Pepper: a pistol, several bags of drugs, and a tightly wrapped small bag. He carefully opened the bag, and found the necklace that Martha had been robbed of.

Voice-over 2：Gordon and Bullock fulfilled the mayor's promise and closed this obscure case immediately. Accompanied by flowers and applause, they accepted the interview with a smile on their faces and made the headline of the Gotham Gazette: HEROIC COPS SLAY WAYNE KILLER. Oswald Cobblepot glanced at the morning paper in his hand. He sat into the car of Major Crimes with a strange smile on his face.

Oswald Cobblepot：Mario Pepper was framed by Fish Mooney and the cops. I saw Ms. Mooney with Martha Wayne's necklace. She was discussing how to get it into Pepper's home inside a bag of drugs. This was shortly after she met with Detectives Bullock and Gordon from the homicide squad.

Crispus Allen：Mooney works with Carmine Falcone's mob. You saying Falcone had the Waynes killed? 

Oswald Cobblepot：I'm just telling you what I saw.

Renee Montoya：Why? Why snitch on your own boss?

Oswald Cobblepot：I confess , that... that poor orphan boy pricked my conscience.

Crispus Allen：Nah. You want to push Fish out, huh?

Oswald Cobblepot：That's beside the point. I've done my civic duty. Good day to you both.

[01:53 开关车门后]

Voice-over 1：Young Bruce attended his parents' funeral with Alfred's company. Everyone was solemn in the cemetery, and young Bruce struggled to hold back his tears. Kyle, who saw the entire kill of the Waynes, also sneaked into the cemetery and took off her hat to pay tribute. On the way back, Bruce saw Gordon and Bullock. 

Bruce Wayne：You kept your promise. Thank you.

James Gordon：I'm sorry you didn't see a trial.

Bruce Wayne：(sad) That's okay.

[转场]

[03:09 开门声后]

Barbara Kean：Renee. Long time.

Renee Montoya：Yeah. ( 03:16 关门声 ) Sorry to drop by unexpected like this. How have you been?

Barbara Kean：I'm good. You?

Renee Montoya：All good. You're running an art gallery now, right?

Barbara Kean：Yeah.

Renee Montoya：That's so cool.

Barbara Kean：And I'm engaged.

Renee Montoya：Yeah. James Gordon huh? That's why I'm here.

Barbara Kean：Huh?

Renee Montoya：The GCPD framed Mario Pepper for the murder of the Waynes.

Barbara Kean：What?

Renee Montoya：They framed and killed an innocent man.

Barbara Kean：And you're here to tell me that James was in on this?

Renee Montoya：Yes.

Barbara Kean：And what's your proof?

Renee Montoya：I can't tell you, but it's the truth. James Gordon is not a good guy. You deserve better.

Barbara Kean：James Gordon is the most honest man I've ever met. He's not capable of doing that. 

Renee Montoya：You sure you know what he's capable of?

Barbara Kean：Yes, thank you. I know him.

Renee Montoya：Does he know you?

Barbara Kean：Don't.

Renee Montoya：Like I know you?

[04:30 转场]

James Gordon：Here you are. Barbara? What's wrong?

Barbara Kean：Did you frame Mario Pepper?

James Gordon：(confused) No.

Renee Montoya：I was wrong to reveal that information to Barbara. We're old friends.

James Gordon：I asked what evidence you have.

Renee Montoya：You'll see the evidence when we get you and your crooked friends into a courtroom. We're working on it.

James Gordon：Save your energy. If Pepper was framed, I'll find out.

Crispus Allen：Hey. We got a problem here, Gordon?

James Gordon：And then you and you just need to stay out of my way.

James Gordon：Mrs. Pepper...

Alice Pepper：(interrupt) Go away.

James Gordon：(interrupt) ( 用身子卡住门 ) Ma'am... if your husband was innocent, you need to talk to me.

James Gordon：If your husband didn't kill the Waynes, how did he come to have Martha Wayne's necklace?

Alice Pepper：You bastards planted it on him.

James Gordon：Alice, how would the police have the necklace? We didn't kill the Waynes.

Alice Pepper：So you say. God knows my husband had his demons, but he never killed nobody.

James Gordon：Can I see his shoes?

Alice Pepper：Shoes?

Alice Pepper：Uh-huh.

James Gordon：Damn.

Harvey Bullock：Framed? How you figure? You were there. We framed him?

James Gordon：Somebody could've planted the necklace on Pepper for us to find. Fish Mooney could've set the whole thing up.

Harvey Bullock：Why?

James Gordon：To cover up for the real killer. Mooney works for Falcone. Maybe Falcone wanted the Waynes killed.

Harvey Bullock：Whoa-whoa-whoa, wait, wait. Why would such a nutty idea even enter your head?

James Gordon：Montoya from MCU.

Harvey Bullock：That pill-head loony bird? What's her proof?

James Gordon：Wouldn't tell me. Didn't trust me.

Harvey Bullock：She doesn't have any. If they did, they would've used it.

James Gordon：Pepper didn't wear shiny shoes. He didn't own any shiny shoes.

Harvey Bullock：Shiny shoes! Mother of God. Shiny shoes. (whisper) Just suppose for a moment, just suppose Pepper was innocent. I killed him.

James Gordon：WE killed him.

Harvey Bullock：(whisper) We killed him. We'd lose our jobs at the very least. The case is closed. Forget about it.

James Gordon：Even if the real killers are still out there?

Harvey Bullock：Yes. This is very perilous stuff you're messing with. Listen to me, for once, Jim. Forget about it.

[转场]

[07:41 开门声后]

Oswald Cobblepot：Detective Gordon.

James Gordon：Tell Mooney I'm here.

Oswald Cobblepot：Regarding what shall I say?

James Gordon：Mario Pepper.

Oswald Cobblepot：(nervous) Mario Pe... huh, May I ask why?

James Gordon：No.

Oswald Cobblepot：No. Yes. Huh, none of my business.

Fish Mooney：James Gordon. How nice.

James Gordon：Day I met you, when I was out back with your boys, what did you and Harvey talk about?

Fish Mooney：Shouldn't you ask Harvey? He's your partner.

James Gordon：I'm afraid he might lie.

Fish Mooney：He might. And you think I'll tell you the truth?

James Gordon：(sigh) You just did.

Fish Mooney：James, wait... You have a little danger in your eye. I wonder what you plan to do with that.

James Gordon：You'll have to wait and see.

Fish Mooney：I hate surprises.

[08:51 打斗声同]

Voice-over 2：With danger enclosing, Gordon moved preemptively and went against two of Mooney's men. Mooney surprised him with a wine bottle from behind. Gordon was stunned and dragged away. 

[09:05 转场]

Barbara Kean：Detective Bullock?

Harvey Bullock：Miss Kean.

Barbara Kean：Uh, James went for a walk last night and he never came back. Have you heard from him? I'm really worried about him. 

Harvey Bullock：He's on a stakeout. Yeah. His phone probably ran out of juice is all.

Barbara Kean：Right. Well, that's a relief. Thank you.

Harvey Bullock：No problem. 

Voice-over 1：Bullock sent Barbara away, and then came into mind that Gordon probably went to confront Mooney by himself. Meanwhile, Gordon woke up and found himself hanging in a slaughterhouse. 

[09:53 Wait!]

[Wait, wait!]

[Shut up.]

Thug：Hey, what are you doing?

Butch Gilzean：Put it over here; you'll get a better angle.

Thug：What? You're a director now?

Butch Gilzean：Don't get fresh. I'm just saying.

Butch Gilzean：Harvey. Who told you we'd be here?

Harvey Bullock：Everybody knows this is where you... take your problems. That's my partner you got there.

Butch Gilzean：Ex-partner.

Fish Mooney：For a long time, until today. I did a big favor for you and your little pals, and now it's all about to blow up in my face on account of your stupidity.

Harvey Bullock：Look, the kid's not your problem here. He was hipped to the frame by Major Crimes. They're gonna be coming after you.

Fish Mooney：How did they get onto me?

Harvey Bullock：Usual way, I guess. Somebody talked.

Fish Mooney：Huh. Not one of my people.

Harvey Bullock：That's what everybody says.

Fish Mooney：(wait for 2 seconds) True.

Harvey Bullock：Listen, you got to let my boy go. You kill my partner, I got to come after you. I don't want to do it, but how am I gonna look, you kill my partner, I don't make a move?

Fish Mooney：All right. Well, you have to promise me that you'll keep him under control.

Harvey Bullock：I promise.

Fish Mooney：(soft) Cool. Put Butch on, please.

Butch Gilzean：Yeah, boss?

Fish Mooney：(angry) That son of a bitch just threatened me. You hang him up with his partner.

Butch Gilzean：You got it.

James Gordon：(weak) Hey, how you doing?

Harvey Bullock：I'm good. We're going home.

James Gordon：(weak) Yeah?

[12:25 Harvey Bullock：Gentlemen, I'm just glad everything could work out...]

[Butch Gilzean：Cops.]

[转场]

[12:34 倒酒声后]

Fish Mooney：Bless your heart. Would you be a sweet boy and rub my feet?

Fish Mooney：( 对脱口秀演员 ) Give me a moment, darling. I haven't forgotten about you. I like you. You're funny. ( 对科波特 ) Now, this amateur nonsense is a good sign. There used to be some discipline. Falcone is getting old and soft. It's time. Somebody has to take over; it might as well be me.

Oswald Cobblepot：Yes, it might as well. 

Fish Mooney：And you, you're like a son to me, you know that, Oswald?

Oswald Cobblepot：I feel that way also.

Fish Mooney：Which is what I don't understand. After all I've done for you, and right when I'm on the verge of great things, you betray me.Why would you betray your mother?

Oswald Cobblepot：I-I... I don't know what you mean.

Fish Mooney：It was you. You snitched to the MCU. You want to know how I know? Because only you saw me with the pearls. No one else.

Oswald Cobblepot：(struggle) It was Gilzean. He's the snitch.

Fish Mooney：Tut-tut. No. Gilzean is loyal.

Oswald Cobblepot：(interrupt) So am I. I would open a vein right here and now if you asked me to.

[14:02 拿起刀声同]

Fish Mooney：Go on, then. Open one.

Oswald Cobblepot：I... I was speaking poetically.

Fish Mooney：Prove it. Prove your loyalty , my little penguin.

Oswald Cobblepot：(struggle) Please, Ms. Mooney. Please don't! 

Voice-over 2：Mooney turned his back to Cobblepot, insisted him cutting his veins to prove his loyalty. Cobblepot struggled to pick up the knife and tried to stab Mooney from behind, but she flipped him over with her chair. Mooney struck Cobblepot several times with a chair leg, and yelled to vent her anger. 

[Fish Mooney：You broke... my... heart!]

[14:47 转场]

Harvey Bullock：(weak) How you doing?

James Gordon：(weak) Been better. Thanks for trying to help.

Harvey Bullock：Wish I hadn't.

[14:59 Did you just slap my hand?]

Harvey Bullock：(loud) Hey, Butch!

Butch Gilzean：Yeah, save your breath. Look, if it was up to me, you'd get a bullet in the head and a decent funeral , but Fish has her ways. Yo, Frankie! Showtime.

[15:13 警报声同]

Voice-over 1：Gilzean turned on the camera as Mooney asked. Frankie, dressed like a medieval butcher, appeared under the red flashing lights, as he was about to perform the killing of the hero cops. The gate of the slaughterhouse slammed open, with several armed men storming in, killing almost all of Mooney's men, and only leaving Gilzean alive. 

[15:40 脚步声后]

Butch Gilzean：Don Falcone.

Carmine Falcone：Forgive me, young man, I forget what your name is. Or perhaps I never knew it.

Butch Gilzean：Gilzean, sir.

Carmine Falcone：Gilzean. Tell Ms. Mooney she's too impetuous. If she wants to kill policemen, she has to ask permission.

Butch Gilzean：Yes. Sir.

Carmine Falcone：(slow) There are rules. Cut them down.

Harvey Bullock：(excite) That's right, there are RULES!

[过场重音]

Carmine Falcone：It's good to meet you at last, James. I knew your father very well. Best D.A. this city ever had. He and I understood each other. There was respect, friendship, even.

James Gordon：Friendship?

Carmine Falcone：Trust me, that's the only reason you're alive now. Blood doesn't lie. I know that when you leave here, you'll do the right thing.

James Gordon：I will. I'll tell what I know.

Carmine Falcone：Which is what? 

James Gordon：I know that you own the police department. Probably the mayor, too. And I was pretty sure that you had the Waynes killed, but if you did, you wouldn't risk letting me live, would you? Then again, how did Fish Mooney come to have Martha Wayne's necklace? A replica?

Carmine Falcone：Yes.

James Gordon：But if you didn't have them killed, why frame Mario Pepper? Or are you covering up for somebody else?

Carmine Falcone：Who knows who killed the Waynes? Some lowlife. We needed a culprit before the funeral. Pepper was sacrificed so that the people of Gotham would see swift justice done. So they can feel safe and secure.

James Gordon：And that matters so much to you.

Carmine Falcone：Of course. I'm a businessman. You can't have organized crime without law and order. I love this city, and I see it going to hell. But I won't let it fall apart without a fight.

James Gordon：You make a life of crime sound very noble. 

Carmine Falcone：You have a hard head, James, just like your father. Don't be self-righteous. Don't be, arrogant.

James Gordon：You want me to keep quiet about all this?

Carmine Falcone：Gotham is on a knife edge. What do you suppose bringing down City Hall and the police force will do, even if you could? Would it make things better?... In bocca al lupo. ( 意大利语，祝你好运 )

[2:11 转场]

[鸟叫声，车行驶声后]

Harvey Bullock：Look it, Jim...

James Gordon：I'm listening. 

Harvey Bullock：I wasn't being honest with you. But you weren't ready for the truth.

James Gordon：You didn't tell me because you were ashamed.

[2:37 开关车门声后]

James Gordon：Why are we stopping here?

[2:42 开关车门声，打开后备箱声，里面躺着遍体鳞伤的科波特]

Oswald Cobblepot：(scared) No, please. Please, I beg of you!

Harvey Bullock：(interrupt) Shut up!This is the fool that snitched to Montoya and Allen. Falcone wants you to walk him to the end of that pier and put a bullet in his head. Then everybody knows you're with the program.

James Gordon：(heavy) And if I don't?

Harvey Bullock：Then I'm supposed to take you out and him, too. And here's the thing, Jim. I like you. I might not have the stomach to do it, but I'll try. 'Cause if I don't, someone will get to you quick enough. Then they're gonna get to me and probably Barbara as well. Who knows what you told her.

James Gordon：I told her nothing.

Harvey Bullock：(loud) You think Falcone cares? Come on. You've killed people before.

James Gordon：(loud) That was war.

Harvey Bullock：(shout) This is war! We're at war with scumbags like him. (persuade) Sometimes in war, you got to do a bad thing to do good, right? So do you do this bad thing or do you die and maybe your girl dies? I might be lackadaisical, hmm? But that's not a tough call.

[3:53 一把抓起科波特同]

Voice-over 2：Gordon paused as tumbling emotions flashed. He finally picked up Cobblepot and took the pistol that was wrapped in a red cloth with him. He pushed Cobblepot staggeringly to the pier, occasionally looking back at Bullock, who sat on the hood of the car. Knowing that the time has come, Cobblepot racked his brain to beg Gordon for mercy. 

[4:17 重音后]

Oswald Cobblepot：(begging) Please, Mr. Gordon, just let me live. I'll do whatever you say. I-I'll be your slave for life. Listen to me, there is a war coming. A-a terrible war. Falcone is losing his grip, and his rivals are hungry. There-there will be chaos. Rivers of blood in the streets. I know it! I-I can see it coming. See, I'm clever that way. And I can help you. I-I can be a spy.

James Gordon：(shout) Shut up! Turn around.

Oswald Cobblepot：For God's sake , have mercy.

James Gordon：Don't ever come back to Gotham.

[5:08 枪声，游泳声]

[Harvey Bullock：Attaboy]

[转场]

[5:25 开门声后]

Barbara Kean：My God, James. I've been so worried. (whisper) What happened to you?

[5:41 转场]

Voice-over 1：After some rest, Gordon drove to Wayne Manor. Struggling to hold himself together, he decided to share the truth to young Bruce. When he got off the car, he saw Bruce crawling to the roof of his house. Alfred opened the gate to welcome him, but was also startled by his young master on the roof. 

[6:18 Alfred Pennyworth：Master Bruce, get your bloody arse down off there!]

[Alfred Pennyworth：How many times have I told you?!]

[6:30 餐盘声后]

James Gordon：Why were you up on the roof?

Bruce Wayne：I'm learning to conquer fear.

James Gordon：Fear doesn't need conquering. Fear tells you where the edge is. Fear is a good thing.

Alfred Pennyworth：And you think I haven't told him that, do you?

Bruce Wayne：You came here for a reason, I imagine.

James Gordon：Yes, Mario Pepper didn't kill your parents. He was framed by the police department and the mob working together. We killed an innocent man.

Alfred Pennyworth：Right. So who did it then?

James Gordon：I don't know.

Alfred Pennyworth：I see. Sterling work there then, mate, isn't it?

James Gordon：Yes. I'm sorry. ( 放下警徽，无音效 )

Bruce Wayne：Don't be. I'm glad he's still alive. I want to see him again.

James Gordon：Bruce, I'm asking you to give me a second chance. I'm going to find out who killed your parents and why, and I'm gonna clean up the damn police department if I can, but I can only do that from the inside. So I'm asking you to stay silent about what I've told you... Your call.

Alfred Pennyworth：Right, well, that's all convenient, isn't it?

Bruce Wayne：(interrupt) Alfred! 

James Gordon：Thank you.

Voice-over 2：Bruce picked up the badge and handed it back to Gordon before turning back to his room. Gordon thanked him and left Wayne Manor. All this was seen by Kyle who hid on the rooftop. Meanwhile, Cobblepot, who was spared by Gordon, swam out of the water. Cold and hungry, he killed an old man fishing beside the river and snatched away his dinner. He chewed the cold sandwich and looked back at Gotham City. He vowed to go back. He vowed never to be a sad victim again. He vowed to become the King of Gotham.
